Cale Lacasse is a fourth generation Comox Valley resident. Cale started working with his father, Rick Lacasse, in the family business at a very young age and his parents instilled in him that hard work, honesty, and respect were the best tools for getting ahead in life.
Cale studied operations management and business at BCIT and applied his learnings to the construction sector. After a few years of working in Vancouver on large scale construction projects, Cale and his wife returned home to the Island to raise their children and work alongside Cale’s parents in the family business. What was supposed to be a 5 year commitment turned into over 14 years of growing the company together.
On the weekends, you will find Cale on the ice coaching hockey with one of his boys. He also spends time on the water, going for walks, and getting away to Tofino, his family’s favourite place to be.

I love living here. I love the connection to the history of my family and I love the people that live here. Our family members that immigrated here worked in forestry, coal mining, and construction. They were hard working people that came here with a hope of a better life for their family in the future. In our work, we are continuing on with that tradition and hopefully we will leave this place better than we found it. I love that my kids get to grow up in the same place that I did and that they are surrounded by loving family and awesome grandparents!
When you own your own business you get to pick the people you work with. We have been fortunate to build one heck of a team here at Lacasse. Having great people around you makes work more fun, enjoyable and rewarding. It’s the team that keeps me going!
Recognizing early in life how special of a person my wife is and working like heck to prove to her that I was worth keeping around!
