Erin was born and raised in the Comox Valley, and is a very proud Vancouver Islander. The construction industry is part of Erin’s history, and growing up in the Lacasse family, she was always in awe of how her dad Rick turned a drawing or idea into beautiful craftsmanship, whether on a job site or in his spare time, building furniture and other creations. She has always had a high level of respect for those working in the trades, and views construction as an often overlooked form of highly skilled art.
Erin has lived in Victoria and Vancouver, attending post-secondary school. Eventually, she started a career in the library field, working for the Ministry of Education and Royal Roads University before moving back to the Comox Valley to raise her family.
After almost 10 years at North Island College, Erin decided to take a leap and go back to her roots, joining her family at Lacasse Construction in May of 2021. She’s never looked back and is proud to be part of such a wonderful company that is so deeply rooted in the community she loves.
On the weekends you will find Erin spending time with her two amazing kids, walking her dog through the forest trails, or hanging out at one of the many beautiful beaches in Comox, which have always been her happy place.
Americano from Impresso and a Cronut from Cumberland Bakery!
It’s hard to choose one thing, because the Comox Valley is such a special place. One of the best things is that you can live here your whole life and still find somewhere new to explore. Outdoor activities are endless.
Lacasse Construction has a company culture that is difficult to compare to many other places of employment. Everyone that works at Lacasse is immediately welcomed with open arms and we are truly all like family. We treat each other with respect, loyalty, and kindness. We know when to be serious and work hard, but we also share a lot of laughter. Lacasse has a very high number of staff members that could side-hustle as stand up comedians.
I am most proud of my beautiful family and the life that we have built together here in Comox.
