Lacasse Construction was engaged by the client shortly after taking ownership of the property. A design had been developed, and Lacasse was brought on board to lead the project through design finalization, permitting, and construction.
The process involved working with existing drawings and making alterations to assist with constructability and project budget. Lacasse also worked with geotechnical and civil consultants to create a stormwater management plan that met municipal requirements while minimizing cost.
The completed project is a commercial office and shop in the heart of Courtenay’s industrial park. Construction incorporated full height concrete ICF to satisfy fire code requirements due to proximity to the property line, resulting in an architecturally beautiful concrete wall.
