Lacasse Construction is extremely proud to have worked with the John Howard Society to create this 10,000 sq. ft. space including offices, meeting and medical exam rooms, and a large reception area. The project involved an extensive, full-scale interior and exterior renovation of a new health and wellness facility for youth.
The client and the design team engaged Lacasse to lead the construction of this very important project in the Comox Valley. The structural requirements of the building were complex, and the project involved a large hazardous material abatement component. Lacasse provided solutions for a heating and cooling system that allowed for specific control at each user level with savings of over $150,000 on the anticipated mechanical budget.
Many pandemic-related challenges in terms of supply chain and resource management also arose due to the timing of this project, which the Lacasse team was able to successfully navigate.
