Lacasse Construction was brought on board by the client to work with the municipality, the design team, and the base building contractor throughout the pre-construction process to ensure a smooth transition into the construction of a new daycare facility.
This daycare was added to a new multi-family and commercial building that was already under construction. Challenges with a building that was partially completed and partially occupied were overcome through the planning process by the Lacasse team.
The project included a playspace, learning space, nap space, kitchen facility and administration office space. Outdoor space was built on top of the underground parkade, offering the children the ability to spend time outdoors while still being safely connected to the facility.
